County planning and zoning commission to meet Tuesday

The Davison County Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse, 200 East Fourth Ave., Mitchell.
On the agenda will a discussion of the development of a new comprehensive plan for Davison County.
Planning and Development District III will be drafting the plan with input from the public and the county commissioners. The city of Mitchell has held a series of meetings on cleaning up the plan to remove conflicts and clarify terms in the current existing code.
The agenda includes:
* A request from Ryan Jensen and property owner Mark Meier for a variance in the required 18-acre lot size to create a 7 -acre lot to for the site of a new residence in the agriculture zoned district in Mount Vernon Township.
* A discussion a new comprehensive plan for Davison County.
