Presho native Tyler Ollerich rushed for a 8-yard touchdown to in the fourth quarter of the University of Sioux Falls’ 71-0 win over South Dakota School of Mines and Technology on Saturday in Sioux Falls.
Ollerich, a sophomore for the Cougars who formerly starred for Lyman High School, had two rushes for 10 yards in reserve duty for USF.
Former Platte-Geddes standout Jordan Johnson had three tackles for the USF defense in the win. Johnson is a sophomore for the Cougars, who are 4-3 in their first season at the NCAA Division II level.
Brandon Andersen, a Marion native, had six total tackles and four tackles for loss in the USF win. Andersen is a senior linebacker for the Cougars.
Thad Campbell, a redshirt freshman defensive back from Platte, recorded an interception in the game for USF.
The Cougars host Minot State University (N.D.) at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
n Mitchell native Steph Uher had 12 digs for the Dakota State University volleyball team in a four-set win over Mayville State on Saturday in Madison.
The match was the final of three matches for the Trojans at the DSU triangular, which including Mayville State and Oklahoma Wesleyan.
Uher, a junior defensive specialist at DSU, also had 10 digs in a four-set victory over Oklahoma Wesleyan earlier in the day.
