EMERY — Sierra Svatos had 28 assists for the Andes Central High School volleyball team Tuesday in a sweep of Bridgewater-Emery.
Set scores of the match were 25-18, 26-24 and 25-14.
Kellie Winckler had 11 kills, 13 digs and five blocks for Andes Central (15-9), Krista Winckler had 12 kills and 16 digs and Joy Kirkpatrick had 10 digs and three aces.
Mackenzie Schultz had 14 assists and nine digs for Bridgewater-Emery (10-14), Aly Hanssen had 16 digs and Traci Olinger added 11 digs.
Andes Central hosts a tournament Saturday in Lake Andes, and Bridgewater-Emery plays Friday in Bridgewater against Sanborn Central/ Woonsocket.
Platte-Geddes 3, Kimball 1
PLATTE — Kellee Griese had 24 kills for the Platte-Geddes volleyball team in Tuesday’s four-set win over Kimball.
Set scores of the match were 20-25, 25-7, 25-22 and 25-14.
Griese also had 17 digs and Kelly Knudson had eight aces for Platte-Geddes (20-1), which is ranked fifth in Class A. Kelli Sprik added 33 assists and Maddy Tegethoff had 13 digs.
Mary Kroupa led Kimball (8-12) with 32 assists, Anne Knippling had 18 kills and 17 digs and Jenni Steckley added 10 digs.
James Valley Christian 3, Wessington Springs 0
WESSINGTON SPRINGS — James Valley Christian coach Tim Nihart got his 200th win as JVC swept Wessington Springs Tuesday.
Set scores of the match were 25-16, 25-13 and 25-15.
All of Nihart’s 200 wins have come at James Valley Christian (17-4). Tara Nihart had 18 assists for JVC.
For Wessington Springs (8-12), Traci Orth had 22 digs and four blocks.
Wessington Springs plays Friday at home against Miller.
Mount Vernon 3, Plankinton 1
PLANKINTON — Mikayla Weiss had 19 digs for the Mount Vernon volleyball team in a four-set victory against Plankinton Tuesday.
Set scores of the match were 25-23, 18-25, 25-23 and 25-14.
Alisha Northrup and Dani Stolz both had five kills for the Fillies (6-17).
For Plankinton (6-13), Katie Anderson had eight kills.
Mount Vernon plays Monday at home against White Lake, and Plankinton plays Monday in Woonsocket against Sanborn Central/Woonsocket.
Bon Homme 3, Parkston 0
TYNDALL — Kayli Adams recorded 25 assists to lead Bon Homme to a 25-17, 25-21, 25-13 sweep of Parkston on Tuesday night.
Raquel Sutera had 15 kills and Shelby Jelsma recorded five aces for the Cavaliers, who are 19-4 and play Friday at Hurley.
Mersadie Dvorak had a team-high seven kills and Krista Radke had 11 assists to lead Parkston, which is 7-13 and plays in the South East South Dakota Conference tournament Saturday in Wagner.
Gregory 3, West Boyd (Neb.) 0
GREGORY — Cheyenne Salonen had a match-high 20 kills to lead Gregory by West Boyd (Neb.) 25-17, 29-27, 25-21 on Tuesday.
Shelby Rajewich had eight kills and two aces and Baili McCance had nine kills for Gregory, which also got 36 assists from Paxten Johnson.
Gregory is 14-5 and plays Friday at Chamberlain.
White Lake 3, South Central 1
BURKE — Maria Nightingale had 18 kills and eight blocks to lead White Lake to a 25-12, 25-19, 21-25, 25-13 victory over South Central on Tuesday.
Stephanie Ness had 11 kills and five blocks and Ali Haines recorded 33 assists for the Wolverines, who are 22-1 and host Ethan on Thursday.
Siera Johnson and Jamie Borszich each had six kills and Taylor Pistulka recorded 15 assists for South Central, which is 8-14 and plays Saturday in the South East South Dakota Conference tournament Saturday in Wagner.
Wagner 3, Winner 0
WAGNER — Jessa Doom recorded 32 assists to help Wagner to a 25-7, 25-10, 25--16 sweep of Winner on Tuesday.
Breanna Cuka and Alexa Cimpl each had 11 kills for the Red Raiders, who are 22-3 and host the South East South Dakota Conference tournament starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Sara Husher had nine assists and Jessica Olson had four kills for Winner, which is 15-8 and plays Friday against Platte-Geddes in Platte.
Freeman Academy 3,
Mitchell Christian 0
Brittney Ries recorded 39 assists to help Freeman Academy to a 26-24, 25-14, 28-26 sweep of Mitchell Christian on Tuesday at the Mitchell Christian gymnasium.
Natalie Miller had seven kills and Jamie Tschetter added four kills for the Bobcats, who are 2-13 and play in the South East South Dakota Conference tournament Saturday in Lake Andes.
Brittany Zoss had six kills and Emily Reynen had three kills for MCHS. Mikayle Jacquot had four assists and two aces for the Eagles, who are 1-18 and host Corsica/Stickney on Monday.
Canistota 3, Menno 0
CANISTOTA — Haley Jerman had six kills and Cassi Townsend recorded 16 assists as Canistota beat Menno 25-17, 25-19, 25-16 on Tuesday.
Madison Huber and Courtney Schaeffer each had three assists to lead Menno.
Canistota is 9-14 and plays Friday at Avon. Menno is 2-18 and plays Friday at Baltic.
Hanson 3, Freeman 1
FREEMAN — Ashley Robinson had 15 kills and Lindsey Hoffman added 11 to lead Hanson to a 25-23, 21-25, 25-15, 25-21 win over Freeman on Tuesday.
Kendra Cheeseman added seven kills and 16 assists for the Beavers, who are 20-3 and McCook Central/Montrose on Monday in Alexandria.
Kaitlyn Stern had 12 kills and Grace Gering added 33 assists for Freeman, which is 9-9 and plays Friday at Centerville.
Corsica/Stickney 3, Avon 1
AVON — Emily Van Roekel had 11 kills, Brianna Kuyper had 25 assists and Corsica/Stickney beat Avon 25-22, 25-20, 21-25, 25-14 on Tuesday.
Breanna Blom had nine kills and Cassie Bamberg and Jackie Dethlefsen each had seven kills for the Jaguars, who are 11-10 and play Saturday in the South East South Dakota Conference tournament in Lake Andes.
Avon was led by Voni Finck and Lanae VanGerpen, who each had six kills. Avon is 12-9 and hosts Menno on Friday.
Chamberlain 3, White River 2
WHITE RIVER — The Chamberlain volleyball beat White River in five sets Tuesday.
Set scores of the match were 25-11, 28-30, 25-17, 22-25 and 15-8.
For Chamberlain (11-9), Abby Handel had 15 aces and 14 assists, Jaymee Knippling had 14 kills and seven blocks, Logan Pickner had 11 kills, Kennedy Wagner added 17 assists and Haley Pasion had 15 digs.
Chamberlain plays Friday at home against Gregory.
Tea 3, McCook Central/Montrose 0
TEA — The Tea Area volleyball team swept McCook Central/Montrose Tuesday.
Set scores of the match were 25-19, 25-21 and 25-20.
Kelly Binder had 15 digs and three aces for McCook Central/Montrose (13-9), Steph Heumiller had 27 assists, Sierra Miles added 12 kills, Anna Olinger had 11 kills and Chelsie Wallace had 15 digs.
McCook Central/Montrose plays Friday in Montrose against Marion.
Lyman 3, Highmore-Harrold 1
PRESHO — Leah Herman had 23 digs for Lyman in a four-set win over Highmore-Harrold Tuesday.
Set scores of the match were 14-25, 27-25, 25-11 and 25-20.
Anna Flitner had 17 kills and four aces for Lyman (13-8), Bailey Almond had 11 assists and three aces, Lacey Reuman had six blocks and Caitlin Uthe added 13 digs.
Lyman plays Friday in Presho against Kimball.
Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 0
HITCHCOCK — Hitchcock-Tulare swept Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Tuesday.
