SD Art Museum receives extensive print collection
BROOKINGS (AP) — The South Dakota Art Museum in Brookings has received an extensive donation of prints from the ’60s, ’70s and early ’80s showing examples of pop, op, abstract, color field and photo-realist art.
BROOKINGS (AP) — The South Dakota Art Museum in Brookings has received an extensive donation of prints from the ’60s, ’70s and early ’80s showing examples of pop, op, abstract, color field and photo-realist art.
The donation of valuable fine art prints comes from Neil C. Cockerline, preservation services director and senior conservator with the Midwest Art Conservation Center in Minneapolis.
Initial appraisals pin the collection’s value at between $500,000 and $1 million. The collection contains more than 400 prints.
