Man hurt slightly as result of truck crash near Draper

DRAPER — A Rapid City man suffered minor scrapes and bruises when the truck he was driving tipped about 5 p.m. Tuesday on state Highway 248.

DRAPER — A Rapid City man suffered minor scrapes and bruises when the truck he was driving tipped about 5 p.m. Tuesday on state Highway 248.

Cody Hafner, 24, was working for Heavy Construction Inc. and was just east of Draper when he was turning the water truck around.

As he gained speed, he overcorrected and the water truck, which was three-quarters full, tipped sideways, said Jones County Sheriff John Weber.

There was minimal damage to the truck, Weber said.
