BROOKINGS (AP) — The South Dakota State University Concert Choir will perform a concert Saturday in memorial to the 10-year anniversary of 9/11.

The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Salem Mennonite Church in Freeman. The 50-member choir will perform sections from Mozart’s “Requiem Mass,” David Dickau’s “Stars Shall I Find” and Jeffery Ames’ “In Remembrance,” among other pieces.

Conductor Steven Grives said in a news release that he hopes the concert will offer people a chance to reflect on everything that has changed since 9/11, as well as remind people that beauty still exists.
