Letcher business to be featured on Discovery Channel

LETCHER — Hansen Wheel and Wagon Shop, rural Letcher, will be filmed for three days in September to appear on the Discovery Channel television show “How It’s Made.”

LETCHER — Hansen Wheel and Wagon Shop, rural Letcher, will be filmed for three days in September to appear on the Discovery Channel television show “How It’s Made.”

The shop announced the news Wednesday in a press release.

The show is a documentary program featuring the manufacturing process of everyday items, including baseballs, hammers and olive oil.

“How It’s Made” is seen in more than 100 countries with about 130 million viewers. Since its debut in 2000, the program has covered 900-plus subjects.

Past companies featured include Harley Davidson, Ferrari, Patron Tequila, Snap On and John Deere.

Hansen Wheel and Wagon Shop describes itself as “a family owned and operated carriage and wagon manufacturer established in 1978” that takes pride in “the most historically accurate horsedrawn vehicles anywhere this side of the 1800s.”
