Mitchell Christian's Becca Glanzer, Platte-Geddes' Keagan Ringling win Mitchell Invite cross country meet

Mitchell Christian sophomore Becca Glanzer won the individual title in the girls’ varsity race at the Mitchell Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Mitchell Middle School.

Glanzer finished the course in a time of 16 minutes, 52.22 seconds. That time was about 15 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Maci Burke, of Chamberlain. Platte-Geddes’ Rochelle Wynia took third in a time of 17:24.79.

Emily Hanson, of Hanson was fifth, Anna Byers, of Chamberlain, took sixth and Mitchell Christian’s Ashley Glanzer placed ninth in the girls’ varsity race.

In the boys’ varsity competition, Platte-Geddes’ Keagan Ringling won the event in a time of 18:39.48. Bridgewater-Emery’s Jacob Schweitzer took second in a time of 19:31.62 and Miller’s Mason Breitling finished third in a time of 19:50.17.

Wagner’s Nick Deion took fifth, Chamberlain’s Davis Carson was eighth and Mitchell Christian’s Adam Rassmussen placed ninth in the boys’ varsity race.

Mitchell’s Gray Determan was the first-place finisher in the boys’ junior varsity race. He finished in a time of 10:50.30.

Mitchell’s Teaya VandenHoek won the girls’ junior varsity race in a time of 13:13.85.
