Mitchell native joins BHSU HOF

SPEARFISH — Brett Theeler, a Mitchell native, is part of the 1998-99 Black Hills State University men’s basketball team that will be inducted into the Yellow Jacket Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame banquet is at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, in the Jacket Legacy Room of the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union on the BHSU campus.

W/C, Tabor each get four on amateur

all-tourney team

The Winner/Colome and Tabor amateur baseball teams each had four members named to the 2011 Class B all-tournament teams.

Winner/Colome’s Andrew Overland, Brock Green, Jared Donahue and Derek Graesser each made the list.

Tabor — which lost in the state title game to Crofton, Neb. — had Gary Kortan, Logan Kortan, Tyler Edler and Steve Fejfar on the all-tournament team. The Parkston Mudcats’ Brady Nolz and Dylan Dwyer also were on the list.

Here’s a complete list of the Class A and Class B all-tournament teams from the state amateur baseball tournaments:
