Cropduster crash near Whitewood kills pilot

WHITEWOOD (AP) — The crash of a crop-spraying plane in western South Dakota over the weekend killed the pilot.

Authorities say 64-year-Loren Ring of Rapid City died in the Saturday crash near Whitewood. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.

The pilot was the only person aboard the small Piper PA-25 plane.
