The Coal Canyon Fire was sparked by lightning on Aug. 11 and was fully contained Wednesday. Fire management officials say it burned about 5,200 acres, or about eight square miles.
Hundreds of firefighters fought the blaze. Twenty-three-year-old Trampus Haskvitz of Hot Springs died in the effort. He was buried on Tuesday.
