Mitchell baby burned by hot water, hospitalized

A Mitchell toddler was transported to a Twin Cities burn center last week after being burned by hot water.
Mitchell Public Safety Investigator Toby Russell said a male child approximately 1½ years old was reported to have been burned by hot water at 1:18 p.m. Aug. 4.
No arrests have been made, Russell said, and it’s unsure if any charges will be filed in the incident.
The child was transported to a burn center in the Twin Cities. Russell did not have an update on the boy’s condition Wednesday.
