Brandt, Berry win two-woman scramble at Lakeview Golf Course

Sandy Brandt and Lisa Berry won the championship flight at the Lakeview Ladies Association two-woman scramble golf tournament Wednesday at Lakeview Golf Course.

Brant and Berry shot a 71 to win the event, which was sponsored by Pepsi of Mitchell and was open to all players 18 and older.

Brandt and Berry’s score was one shot clear of second-place finishers Lara Altenburg and Kris Zortman. Altenburg and Zortman shot a 71 — a 35 on the back nine holes — to win a tiebreaker with Joan Bosanke and Collette Quam, Bosanke and Quam also carded a 72, but finished with a 37 on the back nine.

LaVonne Callies and Pat Carman teamed up to win the first flight of competition with an 86.

Karon Scholten and Rita Erickson won the second flight by way of tiebreaker. Scholten and Erickson shot a 46 on the back nine holes to win the event with a score of 94, which was tied by two other teams.
