Man rescued from elevator shaft in Mitchell

The Mitchell Regional Ambulance responded Wednesday to a medical call of a man who fell down an elevator shaft.
Mitchell Fire Chief Paul Morris confirmed the ambulance crew was able to get the man out of the shaft and transport him to Avera Queen of Peace Hospital.
No other information was immediately provided by authorities.
