Doering family holds reunion

The Doering family gathered at the Field House in Wessington Springs for an all-day reunion on July 16. Present were approximately 114 family members from many areas of South Dakota as well as North Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming and the Netherlands.

The families attending were all descendants of Charles and Laurinda Doering. Their children included Ralph (Henrietta); Violet (Jake) Stam; Marvin( Maggie); Ruby (Buford) Gray; Orville (Evelyn); and Dorothy (Roland) Powell.

Many of their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were present.

The reunion began Saturday and ended Sunday with a meal at the fire hall.
