The Days of '76 rodeo to start in Deadwood

DEADWOOD (AP) — Bull riding, steer roping and steer wrestling will take center stage when The Days of '76 rodeo kicks off in Deadwood Tuesday.

DEADWOOD (AP) — Bull riding, steer roping and steer wrestling will take center stage when The Days of '76 rodeo kicks off in Deadwood Tuesday.

This is the 89th year for the rodeo. The event runs through Saturday.

More than 50 contestants are competing in the various competitions, including bull riding, barrel racing and steer wrestling.

In addition to the rodeo, a parade along Main Street is scheduled for Friday and Saturday. A Miss Days of '76 Queen will also be crowned.
