Allen, McCurry win council races
Dan Allen and Greg McCurry have won seats on the Mitchell City Council, according to unofficial election results reported this evening.
Dan Allen and Greg McCurry have won seats on the Mitchell City Council, according to unofficial election results reported this evening.
Allen, an incumbent, beat challenger Tim Moon in Ward 2. Allen received 345 votes, or 73 percent, compared to Moon's 128 votes, or 27 percent.
McCurry, a newcomer, beat fellow newcomers Marc Bernard and Deborah Skibsrud-Bueber in Ward 4. The vote tally was McCurry, 363 (51 percent); Bernard, 320 (45 percent); and Skibsrud-Bueber, 30 (4 percent).
