LETTER: It’ll take time to learn all of city’s functions

No one in Mitchell has lived or operated a business in a town/city where a city manager is the “top rung?”

No one in Mitchell has lived or operated a business in a town/city where a city manager is the “top rung?”

So whom do those in charge go to for info on the plus and minus of the office? A gentleman who is employed as the third manager in eight years. An average of 2.7 years each. As an outsider and an old, old, old boy of 46 years in real estate, it is my unasked-for opinion it would take at least 10 to 12 months to learn all the functions of a $30 million, 175 full-time employee company.

What? You don’t agree? Great. That’s America.
