Mitchell man pleads guilty to child porn

A Mitchell man has pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing child pornography.

Chad Lee Voeltz, 38, entered the admissions at the Davison County Public Safety Center on Tuesday in Mitchell.

Voeltz admitted to possessing two video files that featured child pornography. As part of a plea deal, three additional counts of possession of child pornography were dismissed and the prosecution agreed that no additional charges related to the incident will be filed.

The prosecution will also recommend concurrent sentences for the charges.

Each charge is a Class 4 felony punishable by a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

He is scheduled for sentencing in July.
