$10,000 Powerball ticket sold in Mitchell

A ticket sold in Mitchell is worth $10,000 following the May 11, 2011 Powerball drawing. The lucky ticket holder matched four of five white ball numbers and the Powerball to win the game's 3rd prize.

Winning numbers were 9, 17, 32, 43 and 45; the Powerball was 31 and the Power Play was 3. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1:723,145.

The winner is advised to sign the back of the ticket immediately and put it in a safe place before contacting the Sioux Falls Lottery office at 605-367-5840 or the Pierre Lottery office at 605-773-5770. Winners have 180 days to claim their prize.

Powerball is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Powerball jackpot currently sits at $81 million for the next drawing on Sat., May 14, 2011.
