William “Bill” Wagner, 60, Parkston, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls.

William “Bill” Wagner, 60, Parkston, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Parkston. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church with a 7 p.m. prayer service.

Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Parkston, is handling arrangements.

He was born on Jan. 31, 1951, in Parkston to Joseph and Esther (Huenefeld) Wagner.

He attended school in Parkston and graduated from Parkston High School in 1969.

He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country for 20 years.

He returned to Parkston after his honorable discharge.

On Sept. 1, 1989, he married Corrinna Riggle in Olivet.

They lived and farmed near Parkston until retiring in 1996.

He was a member of Parkston American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, five children: Tony and wife Pam, Pierre; Mike and wife Becky; and Joe and wife Denise, all of Sioux Falls; David and wife Janet, Boulder, Colo.; and Courtney Wagner, Parkston; 10 grandchildren, his mother, Parkston; and five brothers: Barry and wife Doris; Kevin and wife Lois; and Gregg and wife Rita, all of Parkston; Michael and wife Kathy, Waukesha, Wis.; and Tom, Pierre.

He was preceded in death by a son, Cody; his father, a sister, Karla Locken; and a brother, Peter.
