FRIDAY'S BRIEFS: Twins’ game with Indians postponed

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Cleveland Indians versus Minnesota Twins major league baseball game scheduled for Friday night was postponed by rain.

The Twins and Indians were supposed to start a three-game series, but a cold rain fell steadily in the afternoon and showed no sign of letting up as game time neared. The decision was made to call the game about a half-hour before first pitch.

Hanson County has schedule change

EMERY — The Hanson County baseball team will make up three games today.

The Hanson County junior varsity team plays at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. in Emery against Parkston. The games were originally scheduled April 16.

The Hanson County varsity team plays at 6 p.m. in Emery against Madison. The game was originally scheduled for April 10.
