Delphine May Juhnke, 74, Parkston, died Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell.

Delphine May Juhnke, 74, Parkston, died Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Salem United Church of Christ in Parkston. Burial will be in the Parkston Protestant Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

She was born Aug. 11, 1936, to William and Emma (Fuerst) Baumiller at Parkston. After her mother was killed in an automobile accident, her father married Adeline Streyle.

She attended school in Parkston and graduated from Parkston High School in 1954.

On Dec. 30, 1956, she married Kenneth Juhnke in Parkston.

They made their home and farmed east of Parkston.

She was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ and spent numerous years babysitting children in her home.

She is survived by three daughters: Lisa Sturts and husband, David, North Liberty, Iowa; Mona Koupal and husband, Dan, Mitchell; and Theresa Stiner and husband, Buzz, Milford, Kansas; a sister, Violate Battermen and husband, Norman, Parkston; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
