Man pleads guilty to assault charge
PIERRE — A Wagner man has pleaded guilty in federal court to assault with a deadly weapon.

Frank Fisher Jr., 24, entered the plea on Feb. 23.
According to a report from the U.S. Department of Justice, Fisher got into an argument with the victim and assaulted her several times, causing serious injury.
A presentence investigation was ordered. He is scheduled for sentencing on May 20. The maximum penalty is 10 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
