Letter: Homosexuality not part of God’s plan

To the Editor:

I have written about homosexuality before, but when I read the article by Rev. Kristi McLaughlin, I felt I had to write again.

Ms. McLaughlin said, “Jesus never said anything about homosexuality but Paul did.” I wonder if she’s going to refuse Paul’s writings, which include a good share of the New Testament. I believe he was writing under the blessing and influence of the Holy Spirit.

In Leviticus 20:13, Moses says, “If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable.” That is God’s word.

God created man and women and told them to replenish the earth. A homosexual lifestyle is completely out of God’s plan for his creation. Ms. McLaughlin’s statement “I believe that becoming fully human in the love of God is our journey whether gay or straight,” is completely out of God’s plan and is leading people astray.
