Tuba Christmas set for Sunday

The fourth annual Tuba Christmas begins at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Pepsi-Cola Theatre for the Performing Arts.

The fourth annual Tuba Christmas begins at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Pepsi-Cola Theatre for the Performing Arts.

From there, the band will play at Coborn’s, 2 p.m.; Countryside Assisted Living Center, 2:30 p.m.; Firesteel Healthcare Center, 3 p.m.; Wesley Acres Assisted Living Center, 3:30 p.m.; County Fair Food Store, 4 p.m.; Avera Brady Assisted Living Center, 4:30 p.m.; and Perkins, 5 p.m.

The group will play 15 to 20 minutes at each location.

Julie Van Gorp, the Mitchell Middle School band director, will direct this group of local tuba players.

Registration and rehearsal will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at 515 E. Third Ave.
