State volleyball capsules

HURON — Lanny Gross had 14 kills and four digs as the Arlington High School volleyball team beat Highmore-Harrold 25-23, 11-25, 18-25, 11-25 in a Class B quarterfinal Thursday.

Kelsey Kaufmann had 12 kills, while Kelsey Warnke had 13 digs and Jacklyn Jencks added 36 assists for Arlington (31-2).

Holly Hamlin had 14 kills and 12 digs, while Bailey Kusser added four kills and 10 digs for H-H.

Kara Baloun added 15 assists and Desa Ellsworth had three kills for the Pirates, who are 17-4 and play Edgemont in a consolation semifinal 1:45 p.m.

CLASS B

Parker 3, Edgemont 0

HURON — Tessa Weeldreyer had nine kills and four digs as Parker swept Edgemont 25-13, 25-15, 25-19 on Thursday night in Class B quarterfinal play.

Anna Leloux had seven kills, while Jessica Kleinsasser added six and Emily Hanten had 20 assists for Parker, who is 28-3 and play Arlington at 7:45 p.m. today.

Lacy Stevens had nine kills and four digs, while Laura Corbett added six for Edgemont, who is 25-8 and play Highmore-Harrold at 1:45 p.m.

Warner 3, Harding County 0

HURON — Karly Fuhrman had nine kills and Mallory Jark added eight to lead Warner past Harding County 25-15, 25-9, 25-16 in a Class B quarterfinal Thursday.

Briana Jung had 27 assists and Taylor Rozell added 14 digs for Warner, who improves to 31-0 plays Mount Vernon at 6 p.m. today.

Laeken Stugelmeyer had five kills, while Aly Gibson added four more for HC, which is 23-10 and plays Andes Central at noon.

CLASS A

Sisseton 3, St. Thomas More 1

ABERDEEN — Amber Huntington had 19 kills and Kalli Grimsrud added 11 as Sisseston topped St. Thomas More 25-18, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19 on Thursday night in a Class A quarterfinal.

Jessica Weatherstone had 11 kills, while Heidi Hansen added 28 assists and 19 digs for Sisseton, which is 27-2 and plays Elk Point-Jefferson at 7:45 p.m. today.

Katy Freidel had 11 kills and Mycalynn Osborne added ten, while her teammate Sam Vifquain added 40 assists for the Cavaliers, who fell to 27-7 and play Mobridge-Pollock at 1:45 p.m.

ABERDEEN — Kelly Reed had 18 kills to lead Elk Point-Jefferson over Mobridge-Pollock 25-22, 25-18, 25-21 during Class A quarterfinal play Thursday.

Lexie Branson had 14 kills and Reanna Bertram added 34 assists for the Huskies, who improve to 28-2 and play Sisseton at 7:45 p.m. today.

Erin Rabenberg had six kills, while Kass Keller and Cass Ulmer added five kills apiece for M-P, which is 24-6 and plays St. Thomas More at 1:45 p.m.

CLASS AA

Sioux Falls Roosevelt 3, Watertown 1

YANKTON — Wagner Larson had 14 kills as Sioux Falls Roosevelt got past Watertown 25-17, 25-19, 18-25, 25-13 on Thursday in Class AA quarterfinal play.

Haley Chambers had 13 kills, while Ashley Beaner and Kaley Herman added seven apiece for Roosevelt, which improves to 22-1 and plays Sioux Falls Washington at 6 p.m. today.

Tia Hemiller had 19 kills and 25 digs, while Brittney Anderson and Ashtin McClemans added six kills apiece for Watertown, which is 12-12 and play Rapid City Stevens at noon.

YANKTON — Ashley Hazard had 16 kills and 17 digs as Sioux Falls Washington came back after losing the first two sets to beat Rapid City Stevens 22-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-10, 17-15 on Thursday in a Class AA quarterfinal Thursday.

Emma Hanson had 14 kills and five blocks, while Sadie Stotsbery had 10 kills for Washington, which is 16-8 and play Sioux Falls Roosevelt at 6 p.m. today.

Margaret McCloud had 15 kills and Kacey Herrman added 10 kills for the Raiders, who fell to 19-4 and play Watertown at noon.

Sioux Falls Lincoln 3,

Aberdeen Central 0

ABERDEEN — Erin Radke had 23 kills and a pair of blocks as Sioux Falls Lincoln swept Aberdeen Central 25-17, 25-22, 25-21 in a Class AA quarterfinal Thursday night.

Emily Schitz had six kills and Allison Buss added five for Lincoln, who improves to 17-9 and plays Huron at 7:45 p.m. today.

Kayla Schaunaman had eight kills and seven digs, while Carmeille Foster added seven kills for the Eagles, who are 19-5 and play Mitchell at 1:45 p.m.
