Dakota Wesleyan University wide receiver Anthony Muilenberg was rewarded for his strong performance in a 49-14 win over Briar Cliff on Saturday.
Muilenberg was named Great Plains Athletic Conference/Hauff Mid-America offensive player of the week after totaling eight catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
DWU improved to 5-4 with the win and hosts No. 7 Morningside College at 1 p.m. Saturday at Joe Quintal Field.

Winner may not be able to repeat as Class 11B state high football champions, but the Warriors still garnered plenty of postseason awards.
Winner had five players on the All-Big Dakota Conference team, led by three seniors. Tanner Best, Dylan Donahue and Tony Littau earned honors in their final prep seasons. Juniors Austin Moster and Austin Richey were also named to the team.
Other area teams with members included Chamberlain and Miller. Chamberlain senior Levi Andera and junior Teil Glaus picked up awards while, Miller had a trio of seniors on the team in Ron Hoftiezer, Grant Lockner and Jason Mentzer.
Winner senior quarterback J.D. Farley earned an honorable mention nod, as did Chamberlain senior Tate Glaus and Miller senior Josh Haaland.
MAC swimmers do well over weekend

SIOUX FALLS — The Mitchell Aquatic Club was back in action this past weekend at a meet at the YWCA.
A number of girl swimmers won titles for MAC including Reva Bork in the backstroke and Rhennetta Bork in the 100 breaststroke and the 100 freestyle in the 17-and-over age division. Alyssa Honermann (15-16) won a 50 free title as did Mackenzie Miller (13-14). Kristin Pistulka (11-12), Tevyn Waddell (11-12), Cailey Scott (9-10) all came away with Taylor Studer (8-under) championships.
On the boys side, Gage Nelson (9-1) won five titles while Zach Olson (15-16), Isaac Smith (15-16) and Gray Determan (13-14) returned home as champions. For results, see the scoreboard on this page.
S.D. Rushmores back in title race

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The South Dakota Rushmores are back into the thick of the championship series of the Masters Division (age 48-plus) at the World Series of Baseball tournament.
Curt Cutler of Sioux Falls pitched eight strong innings in an 11-inning win over the Pittsburgh 48’s. Marv Baisden, formerly of Scotland, had two hits including a two-run double to break at 2-2 tie.
Dale Solbery of Dell Rapids struck out 10 in a 5-3 win over Bergen, N.J. Rod Merriam of Rapid City had three hits.
Mitchell cheer takes 4th at ESD

PIERRE — The Mitchell High School competitive cheer squad finished fourth in Large Group Stunting/Non-Tumbling at the Eastern South Dakota championships on Friday.
Mitchell finished with a score of 160.5, four points behind third-place Pierre.
Huron won the event with a score of 198. Watertown won the meet with 264 points.
