Lake vote leaning 'yes,' liquor vote leaning 'no'

With all but a few precincts reporting, the initiative to designate park land around Lake Mitchell is 54 percent "yes" to 46 percent "no," and the referendum on Sunday off-sale liquor in Mitchell is 57 percent "no" compared to 43 percent "yes."

With all but a few precincts reporting, the initiative to designate park land around Lake Mitchell is 54 percent "yes" to 46 percent "no," and the referendum on Sunday off-sale liquor in Mitchell is 57 percent "no" compared to 43 percent "yes."

If those trends hold, numerous parcels of public land around Lake Mitchell will be designated as park land, and the city's current ban on Sunday off-sale liquor will be retained.
