Ella L. Hohn, 97, Parkston, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at Avera Bormann Manor, Parkston. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Parkston. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Dimock. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church with a 5 p.m. prayer service. Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Parkston, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Nov. 24, 1912, on the family farm near Dimock to John and Mary (Roth) Koster.

She attended Sts. Peter and Paul Parochial School in Dimock.

On Feb. 20, 1939, she married Raymond Hohn at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Dimock.

They farmed near Dimock until retiring into Parkston in 1962.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She is survived by her children: Edna Gebel and husband Kenneth, Missouri Valley, Iowa; Melvin and wife Beverly, Sterling, Ill.; and Dennis and wife Geraldine; and Delbert, all of Mitchell; Donna Steiner and husband Richard; and Joel, all of Parkston; and Karen Mountain and husband Larry, Gillette, Wyo.; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two sisters: Wilma Boddicker and Leona Muntefering, both of Mitchell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers: Joe and Walter Koster; and four sisters: Clara, Lorraine, Bernice and Marie.
