Mitchell High School’s Friend de Coup show choir has made the top 10 in Parade magazine’s “Search for America’s Favorite Show Choir” and is in the running for the top spot.
Although Parade had indicated the winner would be revealed Friday, only the top-10 list was revealed.
The magazine is conducting the contest to capitalize on the popularity of the hit television show “Glee,” which focuses on a high school show choir. The contest was announced in last weekend’s issue of Parade, and thousands of video entries were received.
The top-25 list was pared to 10 with the help of 18,000 online votes from the public.
Parade now says the online voting will continue through midnight Tuesday and the announcement of America’s Favorite Show Choir will be made Wednesday.
