Dolly Jorgensen, 87, Flandreau, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at Riverview Manor, Flandreau.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Colman Lutheran Church, Colman. Burial will be in Colman Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with a 7 p.m. prayer service.

She was born on Aug. 28, 1924, in Mitchell to John and Amy (McMahon) Mettler.
She graduated from Chester High School in 1941 and from the School of Pharmacy at South Dakota State University, Brookings, in 1945.
In 1945, she married Leo D. Nelsen in Phoenix.
They farmed in the Colman area until his death on Aug. 19, 1951.
She worked as a pharmacist at Rolfe’s Drug Store in Flandreau.
On Feb. 24, 1953, she married Luverne Jorgensen at Luverne, Minn.
They lived on a farm in the Flandreau area, except for a year in Oregon.
She worked as a relief pharmacist at Family Pharmacy in Flandreau.
She was a member of Colman Lutheran Church, WELCA, Busy Bee Club and Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her husband, three children: Laurie Garry and husband Jerry, Mitchell; Tom Jorgensen and wife Mary, Parker, Colo.; and Amy Weiler and husband Dave, St. Louis; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, a daughter, Susan; a son, Dale; her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
