FORESTBURG — Sanborn County commissioners will conduct the last of two public meetings on the proposed $350,000 annual opt-out of the state property tax freeze at 7 p.m. today at the 4-H building in Forestburg.

County residents will vote on the five-year opt-out on Sept. 14.

The measure is designated for immediate road repairs because of damage caused by the spring thaw and flooding or overdue road maintenance.

Commissioners approved placing the opt-out before voters last month.
