Florence Wilson, Chamberlain

Florence Mae Wilson, 85, Chamberlain, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Regency Retirement Assisted Living, Chamberlain.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at United Church of Christ, Chamberlain. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Chamberlain. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hickey Funeral Chapel, Chamberlain.

She was born on Sept. 17, 1924, to Oscar and Tonnie (Havlik) Olson.

She attended country school in Brule County and high school in Pukwana.

She was employed at Buckingham’s, J.C. Penney’s and the New York Store in Rapid City, then at the J.C. Penney Store in Spencer, Iowa. After returning to Chamberlain, she worked at Casey Drug and Jewelry.

In November 1955, she married Bill Wilson.

She is survived by her sister, Ethel Rustad, Columbia, Mo; a brother, Fred Olson and wife Beulah, Toronto, Canada; a sister-in-law, Esther Olson, Chamberlain; four nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister, Elsie Worthing; a brother, Henry Olson; and two brothers-in-law: Edwin Worthing and Herman Rustad.
