Ballrockers end Rock Bass' season

PARKSTON — The Geddes Ballrockers kept their season alive with an 11-4 win over the Parkston Rock Bass in an elimination game at the District 5B amateur baseball tournament Wednesday night in Parkston. Travis Gant went all nine innings on the hill for Geddes. He struck out eight batters.

PARKSTON — The Geddes Ballrockers kept their season alive with an 11-4 win over the Parkston Rock Bass in an elimination game at the District 5B amateur baseball tournament Wednesday night in Parkston.

Travis Gant went all nine innings on the hill for Geddes. He struck out eight batters.

Ray Slaba had five singles, Matt Slaba had a double and two singles and Jason Lafka added three hits to lead the Ballrockers’ offense.

Jared Boehmer was hit with the loss for the Rock Bass.

Jordan Boehmer had two singles and a double, Eric Maeschen had two singles and Lance Thury had a solo home run to lead the Parkston bats.

Geddes faces Dimock/Emery today at 6 p.m. in another elimination game in Parkston.

Corsica/Stickney 10, Delmont 3

PARKSTON — Wade Gall went all nine innings and struck out eight to lead the Corsica/Stickney amateur baseball team to a 10-3 win over Delmont in an elimination game of the District 5B tournament in Parkston.

Chad Wentland had a double and a home run, Brad Gruenweg had two doubles and a single and Matt Schrank had two doubles and a single for Corsica/Stickney, which will face Platte at 8 p.m. today in another elimination game.
