USF to host tennis camp in Mitchell

The University of Sioux Falls tennis program will be hosting a tennis camp at Hitchcock Park later this month.

The camp, which is open to all junior varsity and varsity tennis players, is July 21 through 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. each day. USF coach Kevin Grebin and current USF players will be instructors.

The camp will focus on singles and doubles strategy, serving and returning, approach shots, net play and overheads, footwork, racquet preparation, ground strokes and match-play points.

The cost is $45 per camper and includes a T-shirt and certificate of completion. Anyone interested can sign up at Hitchcock Park.

Grebin is a three-time Great Plains Athletic Conference coach of the year and has been named the NAIA Region III and IV coach of the year three times. Call Grebin at 321-2726 for more information.
