Mitchell White sweeps Chamberlain

CHAMBERLAIN — Mitchell White, a 13-year-old teener baseball team, won a pair of games Wednesday night in Chamberlain. White took the opener, 15-6, and won the nightcap, 15-12, in eight innings.
In Game 1, Ben Miller earned the win on the mound and also went 2-for-4 at the plate. Mitch Johnson added a double and two RBIs for White in the opener.
In the nightcap, Jacob Cersosimo went 2-for-2, walked three times and scored five runs to help White win a back-and-forth affair that saw Mitchell manufacture three runs in the eighth inning for the win. Johnson had an RBI and two runs.
Matt Larson picked up the win on the mound for White in Game 2.
White improved to 14-1 on the season and will host Wagner for a doubleheader beginning at 6 p.m. Monday at Cadwell Park.
