Scott Klumb, Mount Vernon

Scott Klumb, 51, Mount Vernon, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Dimock. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell.

Scott Klumb, 51, Mount Vernon, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at his home.

He was born Nov. 12, 1958, at Parkston, to LaVern and Leona (Goldammer) Klumb. He grew up on his parents’ farm southeast of Mount Vernon and attended school at Ethan, where he graduated from high school in 1977. He then attended Mitchell Technical Institute for drafting.

Klumb married Sara Paul on Sept. 29, 1979.

He worked at Mueller Lumber for a couple years and then moved to the farm southeast of Mount Vernon where he farmed until the time of his death.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He served on the Davison County Pork Council and was a board member of Ethan Lumber.

He is survived by one son, Travis and wife Greta, Hermantown, Minn.; his parents; one brother, Mark and wife Rebecca, Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley.
