Every once in a while, something comes along that just defies logic. There are five Republicans running for governor: two involved in agriculture, three who aren’t. One has a real chance of winning, Gordon Howie.
Gordon is real agriculture. He is currently a rancher. Gordon is frugal, conservative, loves families and cares about people just like you. Yet, he is getting very little support from the agriculture community. What’s wrong with you people?
It seems like the agriculture folks would want a person in the governor’s office that knows, lives, works and breathes agriculture issues.
Of course, a big, socialist, corporate lawyer who doesn’t believe in gun rights might be better as governor. “Yeah, right.” I’m telling you folks, if you don’t get in gear and help the one person become governor who can, and truly will, help you, then you deserve all you get from the candidates who don’t give a hoot about agriculture.
Sure, you’re going to get a lot of hot air from these lawyers running for governor, but you can bet that’ll disappear in the next session when the budget is balanced on the backs of the agriculture producers.
Gordon Howie will make sure that doesn’t happen.
