GPAC baseball tournament start time delayed one hour

Due to inclement weather in the Mitchell area Thursday morning, the 2010 Great Plains Athletic Conference baseball tournament will begin an hour later than originally scheduled.

The tournament was slated to begin with Game 1 at Cadwell Park and Game 2 at Drake field, both at 9 a.m., in Mitchell, but the start time for both games was pushed back to 10 a.m. to hopefully avoid further rain delays and to maintain the quality of the fields. As a result, the start times for Game 3 at Drake Field and Game 4 at Cadwell Park have also been pushed back an hour from noon to 1 p.m.

However, an extra hour was built into the original schedule for Thursday’s four evening games, so at this time, those games are still scheduled to start at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at both fields.
