MCM lands three on all-Big East first team

McCook Central/Montrose’s Bandon Feterl, Mark Huls and Shayne Gottlob were each named to the all-Big East first team, it was announced Friday.

McCook Central/Montrose’s Bandon Feterl, Mark Huls and Shayne Gottlob were each named to the all-Big East first team, it was announced Friday.

The Fighting Cougars went 6-1 in conference play this season and eventually went on to take fourth at the state tournament.

Teammates Jay Huls and Andy Kappenman were named to the honorable mention list.

For Howard, which went 3-4 in conference play this season, Levi Hattervig was named to the first team and Zach Torkelson and Kirk Ehlke each made the honorable mention list.

All-Big East Conference first team:

Sioux Valley: Nathan Kramer, senior; Brady Will, senior; Tanner Thomson-Moad, senior.

McCook Central/Montrose: Brandon Feterl, senior; Mark Huls, senior; Shayne Gottlob, sophomore.

Flandreau: Russ Hendrickson, senior; Jacob Patterson, freshman.

Chester: Drew Kreutzfeldt, junior; Dylan Kreutzfeldt, junior.

Howard: Levi Hattervig, junior.

Baltic: Brendan Tidemann, senior.

Garretson, Skyler Gibson, senior.

Parker: Ryan Preheim, junior.

Honorable Mention team:
