DWU athletics set to welcome Hall of Fame Class of 2010

The Dakota Wesleyan University athletic department will be welcoming seven new members to its Hall of Fame, athletic director Curt Hart announced Friday.
The induction ceremony, which has historically been held on Homecoming weekend, will be moved to Saturday, April 24 at the Sherman Center on the DWU campus.
The Hall of Fame Class of 2010 will include five athletes, one coach and one contributor.
The athletes to be honored are Dave Ackerson (track and field, class of 1973), Bill Gallipo (football, class of 1969), Kamden Miller (men’s basketball and football, class of 1998), Randi Morgan-Haines (women’s basketball, class of 2004), Todd Sprang (football and baseball, class of 1998).
Coach Larry Buffington (track and field and football) and the voice of Tiger athletics on 105.9 FM KMIT Tim Smith round out the inductees.
Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. and the banquet will begin at 6 p.m. The program will feature recognition of DWU’s senior athletes and some special awards and induction introductions and speeches by each of the Hall of Fame inductees.
