Letter: Questioning ‘God the Father’
To the Editor:Why is this “God the Father?” Is this the same God who comes and impregnates young virgins? Jesus was an illegitimate child. This God fathered Jesus, and then sentenced Him to a horrific death. Jesus was a victim. This father did not raise Jesus. His father was a deadbeat. Is this “God the Father” to be listened to?

Why is this “God the Father?” Is this the same God who comes and impregnates young virgins? Jesus was an illegitimate child. This God fathered Jesus, and then sentenced Him to a horrific death. Jesus was a victim. This father did not raise Jesus. His father was a deadbeat. Is this “God the Father” to be listened to?
I might accept this as acceptable if this “God” were like most fathers of illegitimate children. This “God” is worse than the average deadbeat father. Many fathers of illegitimate children want their sons to be killed. Some arrange an accident to happen themselves. What kind of father tortures his son to death? Unspeakable are the trials Jesus had to endure.
It is claimed that by killing His only son, he’s actually doing us a favor. His son was crucified, we should be thankful to Him; we have been saved from our sins. What kind of father is this? I don’t call him “God the Father,” I call this god “God the Failure.” I have no problem with Christians. Why would anyone praise and adore this god?
Jesus was the victim of an abusive relationship. His father had forsaken him. He protected his abuser. What kind of Savior is this? From what are we saved? We still die. Claiming torture shows love for mankind is not love. I refuse to accept a religion based on human sacrifice.
Am I to be judged by this God? I judge Him in kind. Is it the truth I might be sentenced to a place where this god is not present upon death? What exactly must I do to be judged and sentenced to this place? I will strive to do all I can to achieve such a great honor.
