Mitchell bowlers compete at city tourney

The Mitchell City Bowling Tournament took place recently at the Village Bowl in Mitchell.

The Mitchell City Bowling Tournament took place recently at the Village Bowl in Mitchell.

Bowlers competed in doubles, singles and team competitions in A and B divisions, as well as overall special scratch and an all-events division.

Sneaker’s Peanut Bar won the A team title with a 3,400. Members of the team are Marty Barington, Nate Sievert, Perry Neugebauer, Brad Hale and Mike Dooley.

Neugebauer Trucking won the B team title with a 3,376. Members of the team are Matt, Mark and Greg Neugebauer, Frank Barnhardt and Tom Zirpel.

Steve Gullings and Justin Ebert won the A doubles competition (1,403) and Greg Neugebauer and Tom Zirpel won the B title (1,505).

Steve Havard won the A singles title with an 817 and Ryan Patzer won the B title with a 730.

Barington won the special scratch event with a total score of 1,016. Todd Allen was second (987), Matt McGee took third (982) and Justin Ebert was fourth (967).

Ebert won the all-events division with a 2,259. Barington was second with a 2,166 and Greg Neugebauer took third with a 2,161.
