The event, which was scheduled to include nine games beginning at 9 a.m., has been pushed back one week until Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Corn Palace. The game times, matchups and pairings could change depending on the teams competing, since several of the teams have scheduling conflicts and likely will not be able to make it to the classic on the newly scheduled date.
Game times could also depend on the Dakota Wesleyan men’s and women’s basketball games, which are already scheduled for the Corn Palace on Jan. 30. If those games are not pushed back until Sunday — a switch that would give DWU only two days off before its next game — all the Hanson Classic games would need to be completed by a certain time Saturday evening.
Also due to the inclement weather, many of the area’s wrestling tournaments and boys’ and girls’ basketball games were postponed or canceled Friday night and Saturday.
Many of the schools have all ready announced the makeup dates for the postponements.

The Kernels were also supposed to wrestle in the Winner Tournament today, but it has been canceled. The Little B wrestling tournament in Parkston and the Andes Central/Platte-Geddes/Corsica wrestling tournament in Platte have also been canceled.
