Maynard V. Hofer, 73, Yankton, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at Avera Sister James Care Center, Yankton.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Chapel, Yankton, with the Rev. Dave Gunderson, St. John’s Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Menno Cemetery, Menno, at a later date, with military rites by Ernest Bowyer VFW Post 791, Yankton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral chapel.
