Hanson girls’ classic pairings announced

Pairings have been announced for Saturday’s Hanson girls’ basketball classic at the Corn Palace.

Parkston, which is ranked No. 1 in Class A, will take on No. 3 Clark/Willow Lake in the final game of the night at 8:30 p.m.

Stickney/Mount Vernon, No. 9 in last week’s poll, plays No. 6 Elkton/Lake Benton at 7 p.m.

Freeman, the top-ranked Class B team in the state, plays James Valley Christian at 5:30 p.m. No. 5 Hanson plays No. 6 Summit at 4 p.m., Madison plays Pipestone, Minn., at 2:30 p.m.

Wagner, which is No. 5 in Class A, plays St. Thomas More at 1 p.m., Colome plays Colman-Egan at 11:30 a.m. and Sully Buttes and Woonsocket start the classic off at 10 a.m.

Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for students and admission is good all day.
