Berdene Etta Reitzel, 78, Estelline, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Estelline Care Center. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Castlewood, with the Rev. Terrance Drew officiating. Burial will be in Castlewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Weiland Funeral Chapel, Madison.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1931, at Castlewood to Ted and Florence (Lammers) Boswell.
She grew up in Castlewood, graduating from Castlewood High School.
On Nov. 12, 1951, she married Kenneth Reitzel at Castlewood.
They lived in Estelline, Hurley, Willow Lake and Colman before moving to Madison in 1966. They lived in Madison before moving to Castlewood in 2007.
Her husband died in 2008.
She is survived by a son, Owen and wife Lori, Alexandria; two daughters: Julie Reitzel, Chicago; and Shanna Wisch, Arlington, Minn.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a sister.
