The Dakota Wesleyan University football team ended its home season with a 13-10 upset of No. 18 Northwestern Saturday at Joe Quintal Field.
The game was also the last ever to be played at Joe Quintal, which will be torn down in the near future as construction of a new stadium begins.
The Red Raiders (7-3) scored on their first drive of the game for an early lead, but Nick Garcia kicked a 23-yard field goal late in the first quarter and the Tigers pulled ahead four seconds into the second on a 4-yard touchdown run by Josh Endres.
Northwestern tied the game late in the second quarter on a 25-yard field goal, but Joel Kruse hit a 36-yard field goal in the fourth and the Red Raiders missed a field-goal opportunity to preserve the Tigers' lead.
