Wynia, Brother of All win at Platte Invite

PLATTE — Platte-Geddes’ Rochelle Wynia won the girls’ varsity cross country race Saturday at the Platte Invitational.

PLATTE — Platte-Geddes’ Rochelle Wynia won the girls’ varsity cross country race Saturday at the Platte Invitational.

Wynia finished in 15:50 to beat out Mount Vernon’s Morgan Miller, who finished in 15:57. Freeman Academy’s Lillie Koerner took third (16:05), Chamberlain’s Kayla Byres was fourth (16:09) and Haley Brunke, Scotland, took fifth (16:12).

Chamberlain won the girls’ team title. Winner took second, Scotland third, Freeman Academy fourth, host-school Platte-Geddes was fifth, South Central finished sixth, Mitchell Christian took seventh and Avon finished 10th.

The Warriors’ Donovan Brother of All won the boys’ race in 16:30. Chamberlain’s Trinity Twiss was fourth (17:12) and the Eagles’ Cristian Van Dyke was fifth (17:40).

Miller won the boys’ team title and Wagner finished second. Winner took third, South Central fourth, Chamberlain fifth, the Black Panthers were sixth and Dakota Christian finished eighth.
